Keene, N.H. – C&S Wholesale Grocers is proud to share its progress over the past 12 months in reducing its environmental footprint. C&S has spearheaded multiple initiatives involving recycling efforts, reduced energy use and the offsetting of greenhouse gases. These efforts have resulted in the diversion of 104,809 tons of items from local landfills and the reduction of total emissions from electricity use in its distribution centers by 25%, among other improvements.
The reductions were made during the 2018 calendar year.
