C&S Wholesale Grocers awarded the 2007 Supermarket News Community Service Award

Keene, NH - C&S Wholesale Grocers, Inc. has been named the 2007 Supermarket News Community Service Award winner. The award was presented to company representatives at the Friends of the Industry Dinner during the Food Marketing Institute's Mid-Winter Executive Conference in Great Lakes, FL. The decision to honor C&S was made by Supermarket News editors based on industry nominations and consultations. Factors influencing the choice of C&S included the company's leadership and support to anti-hunger organizations, generosity to nonprofit social service agencies, and encouragement of associate volunteerism. C&S' commitment to its communities was acknowledged as an excellent example for the food industry at large.
