2007 National Make a Difference Day

C&S Associates Coast-to-Coast Take Part in Make a Difference Day

Keene, NH-C&S Associates volunteered for the fifth consecutive year to help local nonprofit groups as part of "National Make a Difference Day" on Saturday, October 27th. Make a Difference Day is a day of caring that involves over 3 million volunteers from coast-to-coast and from all walks of life.

"Our Associates continue to contribute their time to the communities where they work and live," said C&S Chairman and CEO Rick Cohen. "This year, over 200 C&Sers were involved in Make a Difference Day activities, supporting many outstanding nonprofit organizations and in the process, helping neighbors in need."

This year's projects were focused on food assistance organizations and included:

  • Birmingham, AL: General clean-up at the Ronald McDonald House
  • Buffalo, NY: Packed "blizzard boxes" at the Food Bank of Western New York
  • Fresno, CA: Painted a portion of a youth center
  • Honolulu, Hawaii: Packed food boxes and painted a small room at the Hawaii Food Bank
  • Keene, NH: Built shelves and painted walls in the Keene Community Kitchen's Emergency Preparedness Room
  • Mauldin, SC: Landscaped at Harvest Hope's food bank warehouse in Greenville
  • Montgomery, NY: Prepared and distributed boxes at the New Day Food Pantry
  • Northeast & Aberdeen, MD: Made children's snack packs for the Food Bank of Delaware
  • Sacramento, CA: Sorted and prepared donated food and clothing at the Sacramento Food Bank & Family Services
  • Stockton, CA: Prepared food boxes for donation, general cleaning at Emergency Food Bank of Stockton
  • Windsor Locks, CT: Sorted donated fruits and vegetables for the Food Share Food Bank
