The bread slice serves as a universal symbol for food. Our strategic national nonprofit partners in alleviating hunger are: Feeding America, Share Our Strength/No Kid Hungry, Congressional Hunger Center and FoodCorps. Local nonprofit partners: food banks in the Feeding America network.

The heart reflects the humanity of our associates and the belief that children and families are the heart of communities. Our national nonprofit partners to strengthen children and communities are: The United Way and First Book. Local nonprofit partners: many, of all types and sizes, supported by the C&S Mini Grant program.

The apple symbolizes the beauty of our planet and our commitment to the environment. Our national environmental nonprofit partners are: The Conservation Fund (Go Zero carbon sequestration program) and the Student Conservation Association. supported by the C&S Mini Grant program.

The hand represents C&S associates’ willingness to roll up their sleeves as volunteers in their communities. Our initiatives include: National Volunteer Week, Dollars for Doers and our Team Up & Make Strides program. Our national nonprofit partners to propel volunteerism are: Points of Light and generationOn.

Giving Back

At C&S we strive to participate in our communities as an engaged, values-driven corporate citizen. Our community involvement is lead by our principles, driven by purpose, and oriented towards outcomes.
